What is the Breakcore?

Breakcore is a genre of electronic music characterized by fast, chaotic beats, heavily distorted sounds, and an experimental approach to structure. It emerged in the 1990s as a fusion of elements from drum and bass, hardcore techno, jungle, industrial, and even noise music. Breakcore is known for its high-energy, aggressive sound and its use of complex, chopped-up breakbeats, often layered with samples from diverse sources such as classical music, punk, video games, or movie soundtracks.

Using the most used sample in the history of the music, the Amen break.

A pair of drums, that many breakcore artists chop and resample making this sample more chaotic and more relationated with the electronic music.

In the time the breakcore was more similar at the hard techno, with a hard sound and sometimes making inaudible for the sounds used in the song, an example of this are the works of machine girl.

But with the time this changed, the new wave of breakcore artist change the way of the breakcore is produced, from a chaotic sound a sound more organized and not so chaotic, an example of this are the work of sewerlvst.
